Binter, the Canarian airline, is expanding its routes to Morocco with the addition of a new destination: the city of Ouarzazate. This route will begin operating in July and will continue in August 2024. Ouarzazate, located south of the Moroccan High Atlas, is known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
The new route will be in operation during July and August, providing connections every Saturday between the airports of Gran Canaria (LPA) and Ouarzazate (OZZ).
This development has been possible thanks to the excellent relationship that Binter maintains with the ONMT (Moroccan National Tourism Office). It is part of the implementation of a collaboration agreement between both parties to strengthen their commitment to the recovery of tourism and connectivity with the Canary Islands.
In addition, Binter will increase its flights to Tangier during July and August 2024, a destination that was added last year. During the summer, flights will be available on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The flights will depart on Wednesdays at 10:10 a.m. from Gran Canaria, arriving in Tangier at 1:25 p.m., and on Saturdays at 2:15 p.m., arriving in Morocco at 5:30 p.m. Return flights will be on Wednesdays at 2:10 p.m. from Tangier, arriving in Gran Canaria at 5:50 p.m., and on Saturdays at 6:15 p.m., arriving in Gran Canaria at 9:55 p.m.
Binter will also improve its connections with Sal Island and Mauritania during the summer season.
From June to September, four weekly flights to Mauritania can be booked through the Binter website, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Departure times from Gran Canaria will be on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays at 9:00 p.m., arriving at Nouakchott International Airport (NKC) at 9:55 p.m., and on Thursdays at 10:00 p.m., arriving at 10:55 p.m.
Return flights from Nouakchott will be on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays at 10:45 p.m., arriving in Gran Canaria at 1:35 a.m., and on Thursdays at 11:45 p.m., arriving at 2:35 a.m.
In addition, Binter will increase flights between Gran Canaria airport (LPA) and Isla de Sal (SID) during July and August, operating two flights a week.
The flights will depart on Tuesdays and Fridays from the Canary Islands at 11:00 p.m., arriving at 11:35 p.m., and from Cape Verde on Wednesdays at 12:20 a.m., arriving at 4:35 a.m., and on Saturdays at 0:35 hours, arriving in Gran Canaria at 04:50 hours.
