Interurbanos Transport of Tenerife (Titsa), company of the Cabildo de Tenerife, has transported 622,099 passengers at the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2019, 20.63% more than in the same period 2018 year.
The company highlights the success of the special safety device put in place in the exchangers of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna, since no relevant incidents were recorded.
Titsa has mobilized these days more than 40 agents in both facilities to ensure the safety of users and customers, providing surveillance work, both on the way to the capital and on the way home.
This plan of action, which will be operational until next Sunday, is coordinated with the State Security Forces and the health emergency systems.
The hours of greatest traffic were the early hours of Sunday and Tuesday, coinciding with the days of maximum influx of carnival that have moved to Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The agents have collaborated in the boarding of passengers to ensure proper operation of the service, expediting the departure of the buses and avoiding delays in the scheduled times.
The company recalls that safety is reinforced both in the interchanges and in the interior of vehicles thanks to the fact that they are equipped with surveillance cameras that record at the facilities and along the different routes.
Titsa will reinforce the service of several routes to the capital on Saturday, ‘Carnival Day’, especially lines 014, 015, 102, 103, 108, 110, 120, 121, 122, 232, 906, 908 and 934.
