Vueling consolidates its offer for the winter season 2016-2017 in the Canary islands with a 10% increase in the number of seats in the whole archipelago. Specifically, they have put on sale seats 816,044, 76,986 more than in the same period of 2015, for a total of 46 domestic and international routes that operate between November and March.
As reported on Monday the airline, in Tenerife, Vueling increased its number of seats by 15%, with a total of 306,760 seats on sale now. Among the new routes include Alicante from Tenerife Norte, which already operated during the summer season and thanks to its popularity will continue during the season of lower demand on a weekly basis.
The rest of the programming of this airport is composed of the routes to A Coruña, Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Seville and Santiago de Compostela.
Meanwhile, in Tenerife, Vueling opens links to Birmingham (2 weekly flights), Manchester (2 weekly flights), Nantes (1 weekly frequency), Rome (Fiumicino) (1 weekly frequency), Zaragoza (1 weekly frequency) and Zurich (1 weekly frequency), in addition to existing Barcelona, Paris (Orly) and Valencia.
In Gran Canaria, Vueling increased by 2% its offer seating for deinvierno season, from 275,228 in 2015 to 281,464 in this 2016, for a total of 12 routes.
Among the new features include links to Amsterdam (2 weekly frequencies), Milan (1 weekly frequency), Nantes (1 weekly frequency) and Zurich (1 weekly frequency), which are incorporated into the rest of the offer Vueling on the island: Asturias, Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Paris (Orly), Rome (Fiumicino), Seville, Valencia and Zurich.
As relates to Lanzarote, offering seats also it grows by 22%, to 143,160 seats already on sale. Of the total of 9 routes operated by Vueling on the island, two were incorporated into the winter season thanks to the success during the summer: Santiago de Compostela and Zurich. Both routes will operate on a weekly basis between November and March.
DIRECT ROUTE FROM FUERTEVENTURA TO ROME
In Fuerteventura, Vueling incorporates the direct route to Rome (Fiumicino), which has susegundo hub of international connections, with a weekly flight. This innovation allows the island to have 68,808 seats offered, up 2% compared with the same temporadadel 2015.
The rest of the program will feature the usual routes to Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Paris (Charles de Gaulle), Santiago de Compostela and Seville.
Finally, on the island of La Palma, Vueling will continue to operate the routes to Barcelona and Bilbao. The first will fly twice a week, while the second will operate only during the period of the Christmas holidays. In total, Vueling has already put on sale 15,852 seats from the island.
